The Most Enjoyable Time In My Life

The most enjoyable time in my life is when I am pregnant. I know that there are a lot of women out there who will think I am crazy, but it is the truth. I seriously love being pregnant. Yes, there are times were it is difficult and I am exhausted, but as a whole being pregnant is awesome. I once told my en suami  that I wanted a group of football team.  (He just laughed at me). Here are some of my personal reason why I love being pregnant.

I am one of the few lucky ones that did not get morning sickness when I was pregnant. I had a couple of those 'blah" days in the first trimester, but I was never hugging the toilet. I actually found that if I ate, it would help settle my stomach and I would feel better within 20 minutes or so.

You can eat seconds and no one will give you a weird look. No one is going to say anything to the pregnant lady for eating too much. If anything, people tell you to eat more. I definitely took advantage of the eating part of the pregnancy. When I am not pregnant, I am constantly watching my weight and trying to either maintain or lose weight. Being pregnant, I kind of let that fly out the window. If I wanted a second helping (or third) I ate it. I ate durians for breakfast,  pizza for lunch and again durians at 11 at night. This may be the reason why I gained close 10 kilograms with my first pregnancy, but at the time I was happy and did not care how much weight I gained.

You don't have to suck in your stomach when you walk by a cute guy or a skinny girl. I am a married woman, but whenever a cute guy would walk by, I would always suck the tummy in and walk a little straighter. Same if a skinny, pretty girl walked by. You don't want to look fat next to her. Every woman knows they are guilty of doing this some time or another. Well, when I was pregnant, I didn't have to suck my stomach in. Rather, I stuck it out and to basically say "Look at me! I am pregnant and proud!" In fact, sometimes I even stuck my belly out farther. Hahahahaha

I can feel the life that I made growing inside of me. Knowing that I made a life with my en suami  and I alone will bring that life into the world is the best feeling I have ever experienced. What better gift has Allah given us, than to be able to grow our children in our womb and give birth to them. Feeling the kicks and movements of my unborn child is amazing. Knowing that they can hear your voice and will actually recognize your voice when they are born. They know that you are their mother.

When I am pregnant I seem to get special attention. Maybe it is just my imagination, but it seems like people are nicer to you. They open doors for you, they help you with things, smile at you more often and start conversations with you. I notice this most at the grocery store. It seems like every old lady I see there, gives me a smile. The check-out cashiers always strikes up a conversation and ask if I need help with my bags. I like when people are friendly with me. I like when people smile, because it makes me smile.

Being pregnant just puts me in a good mood. How can I have a bad day when I look down and see this wonderful belly and know that my child will soon enter the world. I admit that I have my hormonal days, but then I stop and realize that this is the happiest time of my life. I have a wonderful husband and Allah has blessed me with a child. Also, whenever I am pregnant, my en suami seems to treat me just a little better. He seems to tell me how beautiful I am more often. :P  He does more around the house for me, which makes me happier altogether.

So darling suami, when exactly time you want to contribute your sperms? LOL
